Camp information

Dear PYP 5 Families,

On Wednesday June 3rd the Grade 5 students are invited to attend an end of year Camping Trip!  This will involve leaving school on Wednesday morning at 9:00 and traveling to Lerum by train.  Then, we will hike through the forest to a small lake where we will stop for a packed lunch from home and swimming.

Afterwards, we will walk to a camping place; Härsjönäs Lagergard, where there is a lake, cabin and camping area.  We will prepare Wednesday evening dinner, and Thursday breakfast and lunch at camp.

Students will need to be collected at camp on Thursday by 14:30.  They can be picked up sooner if you wish, just let your child’s class teacher know via email.  If you are unable to collect your child from camp, please make arrangements with another family.  Click HERE for a link with directions to
Härsjönäs from school, or HERE for its location.

There will be teacher chaperones for the entire trip, including the overnight stay.  Peter our PE teacher will attend as the lifeguard on duty.

Exhibition update

Exhibition update

We have been SUPER busy lately working through the Exhibition process.

Students are well into their inquires now and things are starting to get interesting. All the groups have met with their guides at least once by now, with most groups having met with them 2-3 times. We have received some AMAZING and very positive feedback from the groups about each groups enthusiasm, curiosity, passion and how knowledgeable they have all become regarding their inquiry in such a short amount of time- well done to all the students for this amazing effort.

We took 2 days break from in class research this week, on Monday and Tuesday, to work on our Catwalk Creations for the opening ceremony for the Exhibition evening.

Let's just say you are all in for a treat! Here are some pictures with a sneak peak of what to expect.

Today, Wednesday, we had our first session with some artist to work on the Art installation using the old books and ANCIENT encyclopedias that were collecting dust in a resource room.

These installations will be permanently displayed in our school up near the grade 5 classrooms in the spiral staircase.
