last week we started our new Maths unit on multiplying double digit numbers. It looks like most of us have developed a good understanding of the concept of double digit multiplication quickly and we have been flying through the work!
Some of us though have struggled at times with remembering all the steps when multiplying large numbers. This is understandable as there is a lot to remember. Because of this we thought that a quick video from Khan Academy my help for the times when we get stuck.
Multiplying: 2 digit numbers: The trick here to remember your place value as you multiply and then add the numbers. We'll demonstrate and make it perfectly clear!
Last Thursday we also had our second reference workshop. During the hour we looked at how to reference online sources and what is and is not a good reference (!), (!!), what places are only good as starting points and what sites are search engines and not references.
