Friday was a very comfortable end to the week as we enjoyed our student council run Pajama and soft toy day. We had students turn up in some 'interesting' PJs with a few human sleeping bags, some bed hair and a couple giant pillows that some students carried around all day. Even the teachers got into the mood and comfy slippers were the order of the day. The best thing about the day was how much work the student got through! Even if the calm relaxed atmosphere did lead to one student being caught out having a cat nap, most of the students produced and completed a large amount of work. Maybe we should have PJ day more often! :)
Thank you for all the parents who have offered to help at on our excursion on the 26th. We are still looking for help during our skating day. If possible, it would be very helpful if someone with a car could help drive out our bags to the skating rink. Again, skating day is one of the best sports days of the year, even if a few of us do a good interpretation of Bambi on ice!
Here is a short video from Khan Academy that looks at adding fractions with an uncommon denominator.
Adding fractions: different denominators: To solve this problem, we need to find the least common multiple to get at the common denominator.
