Math
In math we have started our unit on Fractions. We are looking at how fractions work, how they can be represented and how we can change fractions into other forms. We will look into simple fractions, equivalent fractions, reducing fractions to their simplest form, improper fractions and mixed numbers. We will also look at adding and subtracting fractions and mixed numbers with both like and unlike denominators.

Language
'To be or not to be?'- William Shakespeare. We have started exploring the structure and function of plays. Students will be reading and analysing a wide range of different plays written by William Shakespeare, but also some novels by Roald Dahl that have been adapted to plays. Students will look at the importance of stage direction, sound effects and the art of performance when reading, writing their own and performing some already existing plays.
